REPAIR

Using Badges to Increase Railway Sustainability

REPAIR is testing how a new digital method for recognising skills and activities called badges can be used to increase railway sustainability.

The International Union of Railways, UIC, has already developed specific measures railways can use to gauge their sustainability based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

The UIC’s Railway Sustainability Index will serve as a benchmark measuring the railway industry’s commitment to fighting climate change and improving society.

REPAIR Project: The REPAIR Project is funded by the European Union’s ERASMUS+ Programme.

SDGs in Erasmus+ REPAIR – Introduction

In this video you will learn about the Erasmus+ REPAIR project and the SGDs Aware digital badges.
“Recognising Emerging Practices & Anticipating Industry Renewal”, The REPAIR Framework is designed to construct a systematic approach to help guide activities which support the rail sector’s contribution to the United Nations 2030 Agenda and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
It is currently testing how a new digital method for recognising skills and activities, through a “badge”, can be used to increase railway sustainability.
